WordCamp schedule for April 2018

Although during this period the Easter holiday is the main focus of most people, there is more to April in terms of WordCamp events than you might expect.

It is indeed a busy month for WordPress enthusiasts as the WordCamp events take place in 14 different cities all around the globe.

We present you with our top three choices:

United Kingdom LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM
April 13–15, 2018

WordCamp London 2018 will be hosted at the splendid London Metropolitan University.
WordCamp London will have two full days of conference, a contributor day, an activities room with its own mini-schedule and an official social event.

Here are some of the announced main speakers:

Kayleigh Thorpe:
Kayleigh is a WordPress Specialist at 34SP.com. You’ll often find her socialising at tech meetups throughout the UK. When she’s not learning more about WordPress, she loves to travel and she’s passionate about the WordPress community.

Tammie Lister:
Tammie works at Automattic, where she is an experience designer donated to the WordPress.org project full time. Her background is varied and includes psychology, design, front end development and user experience. She is passionate about Open Source and community.

Piccia Neri:
Piccia Neri is a WordPress consultant, graphic designer, creative director and photographer. Over the course of 2.5 decades, Piccia has gathered together an extremely varied portfolio that spans from global corporations to venerable cultural institutions.

Elliot Taylor:
Elliott works on his projects and as a freelance developer Raison. He specialises in enterprise development and eCommerce. He has built a number of SaaS products all built using WordPress. He’s a self-taught and loves that the community encourages this.

WordCamp Vienna VIENNA, AUSTRIA
April 7–8, 2018

The event will take place at Uni Campus / Altes AKH, Hörsaalzentrum, Spitalgasse 2, 1090 Vienna

It is a two-days busy schedule, covering great topics for all WordPress users.

There is also a WordCamp Vienna Happiness Bar, a place for attendees, speakers, volunteers, & organizers to come together to talk about all things WordPress.

He has been using WordPress for the last 5 years and has learnt lots of shortcuts and tricks that he loves passing on to others. Up until now, she has spoken at WordCamp Belgrade, WordCamp Bucharest, WordCamp Athens and WordCamp Sofia, as well as volunteered at WCEU in Vienna and Paris.

Aleksandar Andrijevic
Aleksandar Andrijevic is a backend software developer with more than 6 years experience, currently working and company Folkmatic in Belgrade, Serbia. He is developing everyday hard-to-find functionalities on WordPress platform, Symfony framework, JavaScript and he is currently looking to go fullstack with FE, with little interest in NativeScript.

Gabriel Pleszowski
WordPress developer with more than 10 years of experience. He likes to extend the limits of WP and enjoys building themes, plugins and all sorts of complicated integrations with different APIs and frameworks.
Gabriel is now part of Toptal’s Core Team where he works and interacts with amazing developers and clients from all over the world.

San Diego, CA SAN DIEGO, CA
April 14–15, 2018

WordCamp San Diego is a two day event at San Diego City College in the heart of Downtown San Diego

DRE ARMEDA:
Dre was Co-Founder and founding CEO of Sucuri Inc. After a successful acquisition by GoDaddy last year, Dre now heads the Enterprise Sales and Partnerships Group for GoDaddy’s Website Security business unit.

ELLEN GOODWIN:
Ellen Goodwin is a TEDx speaker, trainer and productivity expert who inspires digital entrepreneurs to cut the BS, turbo-charge their results and become the Action Hero of their business and their life!

JAMIE SCHMID
Jamie Schmid has a particular passion for creating excellent content experiences. Originally from Milwaukee, WI, she has been working as a WordPress freelancer and consultant since 2012, regularly taking sites from conception through a well-managed build process that encourages communication, planning, and smart use of content. She has a background in Information Architecture and Content Strategy, a passion for all things WordPress, and a whole lot of cats back home in Portland, OR. In her role as SiteLock WordPress Evangelist Jamie helps build awareness of website security best practices and solutions.

The first day will be followed by an after party where all participants are invited to have fun and socialise.
