We would like to inform you that CaptainForm is no longer maintained as a product. Please find below more details about this situation, as well as the alternative that we are proposing.

A bit about us

Our company and main product are called 123FormBuilder. We have been on the market for 15 years. We are an online form builder that works across any publishing system or method. CaptainForm is a WordPress plugin that we have derived from our core product specifically for the WordPress ecosystem. We have derived similar products for other ecosystems as well.

CaptainForm deprecation

Although very dear to us, CaptainForm has not performed as well as other products of ours and we cannot invest active resources into it further.

What does this mean from a technical point of view?

The CaptainForm plugin still works. In many cases, users are able to install the plugin, create and publish forms, and collect data successfully. However, there are cases (particular environments or use cases) in which the plugin fails and something does not work. We have not worked on fixing these issues in a while, and will not work on fixing them in the future.

Our recommendation

If CaptainForm does not work for you, our recommendation is to stop using it and find a different WordPress plugin for building forms and collecting data. We can also offer 123FormBuilder as an alternative, but more about that below.

The alternative that we propose

The alternative that we propose is 123FormBuilder.

• From a technical perspective, 123FormBuilder works very well with WordPress. The only thing to note is that there is no migration mechanism, so you will need to recreate your forms.

• From a subscription perspective, if you are on a paid plan, we will offer the remaining time from your subscription on an equivalent 123FormBuilder service plan. You can check out the 123FormBuilder service plans here. Please create a free account and reply to this email or reach out to customercare@123formbuilder.com to have the paid subscription enabled. We are also flexible in resolving subscription-related concerns in other ways.

• If you are on the free service plan, then you can simply move to 123FormBuilder.
