The WordCamp events to follow in June 2018

Hello all you WordPress enthusiasts! I hope you’re enjoying the summer as much as we are. We most certainly enjoyed the 1st of June, because somewhere deep inside, we are still kids.

We’d like to present you some of the WordCamp events of June 2018.

WordCamp Wellington WELLINGTON, NEW ZEALAND
June 23–24, 2018
WordCamp Wellington 2018 will be held at the amazing new BizDojo Market Lane
There are a lot of interesting sessions such as: Analytics for successful content, phraSEOlogy (SEO is awesome), Running a Freelance WordPress Business,Diversity in the WordPress Community
Here are some of the main speakers attending:
Mike Eastwood:
Mike Eastwood designed and developed his first website, in 1994, for the Arts Marketing Board of Aotearoa (AMBA). Since then he’s worked with clients in Europe, America, Australia and New Zealand.
After working on hundreds of websites Mike realised “nobody really wants a website – what they really want is more traffic, more leads and more customers”.
Mike’s business Webalite is a Certified HubSpot Partner Agency that creates custom Themes and Plugins to extend WordPress websites (yes, you still need a website).

Brendan Woods:
Brendan works as a Team Lead with XWP, managing large-scale WordPress solutions, though Brendan has also had substantial experience in the Product Owner role.
With a keen interest in data analysis (currently completing a Masters of Data Analytics), Brendan has quickly become one of XWP’s resident GDPR experts, working with companies to assess the impact the incoming legislation will have for how technology companies operate in the EU.
Outside of work, Brendan is (sadly) a Lakers fan and loves playing streetball at his local.

Hannah Malcolm:
Hannah loves pixels and code. She can usually be found in front of a screen, researching front end techniques, or embarking on a new digital project. When she isn’t in front of a screen, she loves exploring national parks with her family and travels everywhere with a notebook for sketching out ideas, or scribbling down thoughts.
The last day will end with closing remarks

WordCamp Grand Rapids GRAND RAPIDS MI USA
June 30, 2018
WordCamp Grand Rapids is back at GVSU’s Pew Campus in 2018 for another major event, one day only, June 30th!
This year the focus is: tools and services that make your WordPress site better. For site owners this means many sessions that cover the plugins, tools, and services that you’ll want to use on your WordPress site. For developers this means a heavy focus on plugins you’ll want to add to your toolkit, development tools and workflows to make your job easier, and code tutorials to help you build better client solutions.
Some of the main speakers for this event are:
Alonso Indacochea:
Alonso Indacochea is the CEO of 11 Online, a full service digital agency in Albuquerque, NM. At 11 Online, Alonso lives and breathes WordPress, where he and the team build, fix and maintain websites for their clients.

Aaron D. Campbell:
Aaron is the WordPress Security Team lead, has been a regular contributor to WordPress for more than ten years, and is currently funded by GoDaddy to work full time on the WordPress open source project. He has over eighteen years of web development experience and worked with clients ranging from small local businesses to Google, Yahoo, Disney, and Harvard. He’s been called both a coffee snob and a beer snob, but considers both to be compliments. When not buried in code, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, riding his motorcycle, and reading sci-fi/fantasy books.

Jeff Large:
Jeff Large is a podcast strategist, producer, and host. He leads his team at Come Alive Creative in producing podcasts for businesses and is lead instructor at Come Alive Academy. His favorite things include family, board games, and learning something new every day.
