Upcoming WordPress Events You Shouldn’t Miss in September

Fall is coming in strong with a great lineup of WordPress community events. Check out the following WordCamps taking place this month in the article below: 

WordCamp Rhode Island

September 22nd – 23rd WordCamp Rhode Island @WordCampRI

The first event on the list takes place on the East Coast, in Rhode Island. It will be split in 2 days, with key speakers such as Aaron Ware who will be talking about honesty and adversity in agency culture, Adam Warner and his presentation about personal and website security.

 

WordCamp Colombo

September 23rd WordCamp Colombo, Sri Lanka @colombowordcamp

Moving overseas in Asia, the next WordCamp on the list takes place in colorful Colombo, Sri Lanka. It’s a one day event, and hosts speakers like WordCamp veteran M Asif Rahman who will be speaking about the ethics of making money using WordPress, and Dwain Maralack from Automattic, who will be talking about how WordPress shaped his career.

 

WordCamp Wilmington

September 23rd – 24th WordCamp Wilmington, North Carolina @WordCampILM

With +30 speakers confirmed, WordCamp Wilmington is taking it a step further by grouping the presentations into learning tracks for everything WordPress related. The tracks will be:

  • Beginners – what is WordPress and how to use it
  • Business Marketing – for business or marketing professionals looking to get the most out of internet marketing and WordPress
  • Designers and Power Users – for people that use WordPress often in their workflow, but are not “coder” level
  • Developer – for WordPress aficionados, with topics  on advanced concepts and techniques

Some key speakers include Sean Ahlum, director of tekMountain and Derek Schmidt, president of DesignLoud.

 

WordCamp Portalnd

September 23rd WordCamp Portland, Oregon @wcpdx

Hosted in the vibrant city of Portland, the next WordCamp will have a line-up of speakers such as Pantheon’s engineer Andrew Taylor, and Walt Disney’s software engineer Rachel Cherry.

Also, in case you’ve missed him in Rhode Island, Adam Warner is holding his presentation here about personal and website security.

 

WordCamp Salt Lake City

September 23rd WordCamp Salt Lake City, Utah @wcslc

The Utah WordPress community will meet in Salt Lake City for a relaxed, one-day conference. Among the speakers is former Xbox game designer, now CEO of The LINK Group and professor at University of Utah Brenner Adams, and founder of Materiell Susan C. Daniero

 

WordCamp Los Angeles

September 29th – October 1st WordCamp Los Angeles @WordCampLAX

WordCamp Los Angeles is a 3-day event for the large WordPress community in California. Some of the speakers line-up are serial entrepreneur and podcaster Adam Silver, first-time speaker and website specialist Andrew Wilder, and founder of WP Fix It Jarret Gucci.

 

WordCamp Toronto

September 30th – October 1st WordCamp Toronto @WCYYZ

This year WordCamp Toronto is celebrating 10 years of activity. This 2-days even will have speakers such as campaign manager and web designer Adrian Tobey and engineer & owner of WirelessLinx Alan Lok.

 

WordCamp San Antonio

September 30th – October 1st WordCamp San Antonio, Texas @WordCampSATX

Taking place in bustling San Antonio Texas at the University of Texas, this WordCamp will be spread on two different days. Catch presentation from speakers such as Bruce Hughes, biology researcher turned engineer, who will speak about the value of intellectual property, and Pantheon’s documentation specialist Rachel Whitton with her talk about agile workflows across multiple platforms.

Since the third time’s always a charm, you can meet Adam Warner again, this time with a different presentation – WordPress as a catalyst for any passion.
