Another month, more exciting WordPress events to come. This May, 10+ WordCamps are coming up and once again, we’ve compiled a list with event details to help you decide if you’re attending. Happy networking!
May 12-14: WordCamp Bilbao, #WCBilbao
The second edition of WordCamp Bilbao( the first edition was in 2016) is taking place at Hotel Gran Bilbao, Bilbao, Biscay. The 3 day event is planned as follows:
Friday 12th | Basque talks + Workshops(in Spanish) + Tourism + Pintxo Pote
Saturday 13th | Presentations
Sunday 14th | Contributor Day
Live translation will be available: Spanish -> English -> Spanish.
WordCamp Bilbao will provide free coworking space the week before and after the event for all attendees. During the 2 weeks, everyone will have access to open and free workshops and talks.
May 13-14: WordCamp Bristol, #WCBRS
The first ever WordCamp Bristol will be held on May 13th and 14th 2017 at the Watershed on Bristol’s scenic harbourside. There will be two tracks of talks over the two event days, lunches and a Saturday evening social. The speakers include Edmund Turbin, John Blackbourn and Tammie Lister.
May 13-14: WordCamp Belgrade, #WCBGD
Another event taking place the same weekend is WordCamp Belgrade. The venue for the event will be the Singidunum University and this is the schedule with a selection of talks over two tracks.
May 13: WordCamp Berlin, #WCBER
WordCamp Berlin is a one-day conference that will be held on May 13th with talks in english and german. But for those interested, there’s also a Contributor Day planned for Friday, May 12th. The lineup of speakers includes Konstantin Obenland, Manuela van Prooijen and Frank Neumann-Staude.
May 20-21: WordCamp Jacksonville, #WCJAX
WordCamp Jacksonville 2017 will be taking place at Keiser University on Jacksonville’s Southside in sunny North Florida. The sessions are divided into 3 tracks each day as follows:
Saturday, May 20th | Business+ Marketing+ Using WordPress and
Sunday May 21st | Business+ Design / Optimization+ Developer
Moreover, for parents who want to bring their junior website creators along on Saturday, they will be able to do so for KidsCamp.
May 20-21: WordCamp Lisboa, #WCLX
The venue for WordCamp Lisboa 2017 will be the ISCTE University and the event will be dedicated to talks and sessions + two workshops for beginners on Saturday and Contributor day on Sunday.
May 20: WordCamp Kathmandu, #WCKTM2017
Karki Banquet is the location for this year’s WordCamp Kathmandu. Among the speakers confirmed so far for this one day conference, you’ll find Kat Christofer and Rich Collier.
May 26-27: WordCamp Managua, #WordCampNi
The 3rd edition of WordCamp Nicaragua will take place at Universidad Centroamericana, in Managua. Over the two days of the event, the Xabier Gorostiaga Auditorium will host the talks, while the workshops will take place in the Amando López Auditorium. Find here the list of announced speakers.
May 26-27: WordCamp Portland, #WCPDX
A two day event with 24 sessions lead by local and national speakers. Foundation Friday for getting started with WordPress, site creation and marketing tips, then getting more in depth on Saturday with freelancer/ agency topics, site creation and development. Let’s not forget about the party after the Saturday sessions. Here you’ll find all the speakers.
May 27-28: WordCamp Denmark, #WPDK
The venue for WordCamp Denmark 2017 will be the Aalborg University’s premises in Sydhavnen. Over the two days there will be two tracks of talks and a large part of the speakers are already announced.
May 27: 3 WordPress conferences are scheduled to take place on that Saturday.
A one day event holding three informative tracks( from 8:00am to 5:00pm) at the Marion McCain Arts and Science Building, Dalhousie University. 20+ local, national and international speakers to will be at the event including Adam W. Warner, Andrea Rennick, Anita Kirkbride and Shelly Peacock.
Taking place at the WeWork Mexico offices in the Ural Mountains, the one day conference will be divided into two tracks. Local and international speakers are announced for the event.
The event is at its fifth edition and it will be held at Fort Calgary. Here are all the sessions set for the event( taking place at Burnswest Theatre, JOW Gallery and Officer’s Mess), the speakers, and all attendees.
